“He who marvels at the beauty of the world in summer will find equal cause for wonder and admiration in winter.” ~John Burroughs

Summer has dissipated and took along its orchestra of cicadas and eternally bare feet and left us with the arresting earth tones of oranges, browns, and yellows splashed intermittently in our backyards. Winter solstice has come and gone and now those colors have been blanketed in a thin sheet of white powder. These cold days may seep into your bones and burn your lungs wanting you to hibernate for the season, but they also have a unique lure about them. You cannot help but to try to inhale the entire world in one deep breath the moment you walk outside. That piercing crisp air, sings a bittersweet melody as it hits your face, up your nostrils, and travels through your body – “today is a new day” 🌬️
